Yeah that's the "standard" if you will. However there's always some room for manipulation depending on the individual.?

It's been shown high amounts of protein can be taken in and have no ill effect on kidneys. Different individuals need different intakes (depending on their goals).?
By: CampbellFitness. on 20 May 12, 22:01:07
Even for athletes I don't think you'll see a huge difference besides an increase? in overall calories.

@campbellfitness can? i ask what your general macros are bro? and what your bodyweight is? thanks alot man appreciate it
By: denMundhalten. on 20 May 12, 20:56:41
@campbellfitness hey bro, i took a nutrition class last semester, and i am going to quote straight from the book "DRI recommended intake is set at 0.8 gram for each 2..2 pounds of body weight. The DRI committee set an upper limit for protein intake of no more than 35 percent of total? calories, an amount significantly higher than average intakes" Also, taking into account the dangers of excess protein (osteoporosis, kidney disease, etc.) Why do natural bodybuilders consume so much protein daily?

I'm currently cutting. I get 1 gram of protein per lb of body weight. I hear the rule of? thumb is that you should get 1-1.3 grams per lb of body weight. Under what circumstances should somebody bump up their protein intake to above 1 gram per lb? Thanks in advance. You've got a new sub. Matt Ogus sent me.

There's been studies that have shown distribution isn't as important as we think.? All very interesting.
By: wph1138. on 19 May 12, 06:50:16
i think i can only take? 5 loads of your protein a day. we can start there :)
By: kniyghtmare. on 18 May 12, 20:58:10
50 gm of Whey protein ISOLATE can be synthesized every 2 1/2 half hours in? a 180 - 200 lbs man. I agree that at the end of the day total macro nutrient numbers should be whats most important, but I feel there must some some kind of even distribution of them throughout the day.
By: CampbellFitness. on 18 May 12, 17:18:39
I think to agree you're def right. People take in whey or more protein in general and think that will? equate to huge anabolic changes.
