You know, I've talked to quite a few Mormon missonaries over the years who are convinced of things that are clearly not taught in the Bible. Have you considered that possibility? One things is for certain, of which we BOTH agree: God will deal with every sinner JUSTLY. I do have a question for? you. It is very clear that certain have been "chosen" before the foundation of the world. Jesus spoke of those the Father had "given Him" in John 17, and Paul spoke of enduring all things "for the sake of the elect sake," and Rom. 8 tell us of the destiny of those chosen, which is glorification. How then can all be ultimatley saved, if all are not elect?

And I respect your opinion. PS. Thats your interpretation. But hate to break it to you, but it doesnt say anywhere in that verse that its final. In its literal translation, its past tense, not present tense. And nowhere does it say that those burned up cannot be redeemed. And I can respect the belief? in Annihilation. Have you not read Malachi 4:1, about the day that is coming in which the wicked shall be burned up, leaving neither root nor branch? The reference is to eternal condemnation, to the final judgment and elimination of evil men from the earth. The everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord Paul spoke about will most certainly be a permanent condition. Paul did not entertain the concept of Universalism, nor any of the Apostles, nor Jesus Christ, or this concept would be? readily apparent in their language. The ultimate salvation of every sinner is not Biblical. No, the wicked shall be cut off from the earth and "rooted out of it" (Prov. 2:22).

More ignorance. Just because these things are referred to as Aionian, does not mean anything. None of these references to an Age denote that Jesus is only alive for a limited age. This is what we call circular reasoning. And even if Aion could mean? Eternal, it would not fit with the idea of Eternal Punishment. Nothing in the scriptures denotes any idea that the punishments last forever. There is nothing saying destruction is permanent.

Aion means "eternal" in many places, depending on? its use and context. It means eternal in 1 Tim. 1:17 ("Now unto the King eternal"), Hebrews 9:14 ("the eternal Spirit"), Matthew 6:13 ("thine is the kingdom...forever"), Revelation 1:18 ("I am He that lives, was dead, but am alive evermore"), John 3:36 ("He that believes...has everlasting life"). Why do people think that Jesus only made these severe warnings of Judgment if they were eternal? Thats terrible logic. 1. Eternal is as mistranslation of Aion, which can NOT mean Eternal in the vast majority of passages. So dont give me that garbage it can mean differently in other passages. And Jesus told us to repent so we would not have to learn the hard way, through firey repentance. Would you warn someone if they? could get severely though temporarily injured? I sure hope so.

God's remedy in dealing with sin is two fold: a) Sanctification b) Elimination Sinners will either be converted, sanctified and ultimately glorified and perfect in Chirst, or they will be purged out. Matthew 13 clearly speaks of the severing of the tares from among the wheat, the bad fish from the good, etc. God will extract out of His kingdom all things that offend, and then "shall? the righteous shine forth in the kindgom of their Father."

I'm fully aware of the various Greek words hiding under the word "hell" in the KJV of the Bible, and their respective meanings. Let's skip all the technical stuff and get right to the heart of the matter. The furnace of fire in Matthew 13, the everlasting fire in Matthew 25, and the LOF clearly depicted in Revelation - they all speak of the same dreadful place of eternal condemnation. They all speak of that place that has been "prepared" by God for infidels.?

Just because the word "hell" is used to translate a number of Greek terms, causing a bit of confusio (until you actually do your homework),? this does not negate the prospect and reality of the LOF. Matthew 25 answers the question in no uncertain terms. The LOF has been prepared for the Devil, his angels, and for all infidels. There is sinful and there is righteous judgment spoken of in the Bible. To merely declare that he that believes not shall be damned is not an act of sinful judgment. It had nothing to do with the destruction of AD 70. It was a warning to those who thought that death had come to the individual cited because they? were "worse" sinners. They were not, and Jesus was warning his self-righteous audience of the need for repentance in view of the certainty of jugdment. Matthew 13 speaks of a "furnace of fire" in which unbelievers sall be cast. This furnace is for judgment not refinement.

Good message there in the vid - also God tells us 'judge not'. When someone says that someone is going to hell, isn't that JUDGING? It wasn't that long ago I was guilty of that myself. It's something that bothers me constantly, christians preaching that basically almost all humanity alive to day is destined for hell. It's? against God's nature as a loving father.
