when i? opened command and typed ipcongig/all my ip came up as numbers and letters, nothing in the default gateway, and dns servers was empty

Maybe you should do some research, you cannot use .255, LMFAO you must be an moron. .255? would be your broadcast address there for you can not assign it to a host. The last ip in your net is always your broadcast address. Maybe one day you will leave your mothers house and get netplus certified and learn how to subnet. BTW he did not have two ip's on DNS. One was gateway and the other was DNS.

you need to do some research because you can have the digits from? 0-255 not 1-254
