@adkpinecone (i'm not bulky ^^)when strict plant? i got my ideas of body image almost exclusively from raw and vegs; visible toned up small muscles became my ideal. big (huge) muscles were either for douchebags or body builders, not me. breaking out of all of those (dogmatic)ideas, getting influenced by paleo2.0, leading to a conscious quality omni-whatever-no grain-diet.. also led to new influence in body image, coming from cross fit/movnat/climbing, new views on healthy lean mass.

@adkpinecone Eating fruit will make you fruitful and eating produce will make you produce(work). Both are necessary to create a good condition in which to really excercise the body. The more energy you have the? more you can use that energy to work out the body. A good example is Dr. Douglas Graham. Surely he is not falling apart by eating fruit. The man can do pretty impressive things for his age. So hopefully I have shed some light on this and helped you understand where I am coming from.

@adkpinecone in my conquest for achieving better health ive observed that those who build muscle on a meat based diet tend to fall apart quicker( sagging muscle, health problems, etc) and lose there tone and strengh as they get older .. whereas those who spent most of there life? eating vegetarian or near vegan retained a very impressive fit body.. think jack lalanne.. think shaolin monks.. think okinawans who work in the garden at 100+.. to me that makes sense.

@TerminusIntroduction its my opinion that making muscle on a plant based diet is superior because #1. the foods are best for the human body..a good example is to think of building a house.. you can use good material to build your house or bad material.. if u use bad material u? will still build the house but the house will be more vulernable to fall apart .. well the same is true of those who base there diet on animal products (most americans eat lots of animals and have lots of health issues)

Our ancestors had to eat whatever they had access to. They didn't really have all the options as far as diet goes as we do today. I think thats a given that most people can accept. The eskimo have to eat fish to survive. When you aren't in the best enviroment and you? are starving then you eat whatever you can to survive.

i think the term raw is quite broad. it's like saying-try the cooked food diet. either way, it takes quite a bit of trial and error to figure out a good way of eating. in my experience especially going raw "to try it", made me tired andafter a day or two got in some under eating ''high. short term under eating/controlled fasting gives clarity. personally i feel the benefitsof raw food when *adding* them rather than? going all in. and, i don't think striving for 100%raw is healthy for the mind :)
