She does a nice job. There was the time restraint issue and the fact that they edit out about a guy named Smokey who was "cokey" and going to China Town and " kicking the gong around" smoking opium. As for the tempo, in later years Cab Calloway took it at a much faster tempo. Blues? Brothers director John Landis got him to slow it back down to the strut tempo he used in the 1930s.

how is it out of her comfort zone when she is sustaining them? she doesn't just merely peak the note on a F#5 and G5 throughout the song but sings them and? sustains them. and she wasn't imitating mariah she emulated the same version of the song because kelly herself is a lamb.

I know? this is an old comment, but I wanted to reply anyway. "Sad judgment?" It was just an opinion, and a pretty diplomatic one at that. It has nothing to do with how many times Tiffany has sang the song, since I prefer her version based on her tone, not skill. What actually is sad is how you somehow turned my comment about preference into an insult of Carrie--which it wasn't. I remember really appreciating the texture of her voice..and I was like eleven. AND Taylor Hicks bored me. So clearly a few things went wrong this season. That said it was by far the best season. Voting wise, it was alright. A few major shockers, like Taylor Hicks winning and Chris Daughtry going home at top 4 and even a few people in the top 24 who went? home a little early like that Paul guy. Best season of AI!! Best group of artists!! Very respectful of judges comments & they all grew throughout the? season. AI not the same since. I was sometimes confused w/the process of elimination. Some who were better vocally were cut too early. Kim Locke sometimes missed notes in her solos. Ruben was ok, at times lackluster. Clay is THE BOMB!!! Love the energy in this #.

I agree with you about the second season.? As for the fifth season I think Kat, Elliott and Chris are terrific singers. They are the only reason that season 5 was good. Talyor Hicks winning was a bigger joke than Ruben winning his season. The exit song that he is singing is the most annoying one yet. I am happy for Josh and Clay who's album will rock and I don't wish Ruben ill on his national tour. Kim is a phony who lived with Clay, but she rooted for and was glad when Ruben won.

But Josh has a new album out in stores, Kimberley Locke has a new one too, Clay is on Broadway in Spamalot & Rueben did the new farewell song for Idol.? I believe this was the best season...WELL this one & season 5 With Taylor, Kat, Elliott, Chris & Etc!
