Thanks for your message. It is true. We must admit the fact that the environment which our parents grow up in is very different from the world we are living in now. As the children of this generation, we should understand WHY our parents think that certain? way, and embrace they way they think. We need to respect them but we don't need to follow what they say - we need to make up our own mind.

i can't agree more about your point on the generational differences between us and our parents!!! i just divorced my cheating husband, and have to start learning to live on my own, i have to say i actually enjoy the single time now and no need to worry about him, the house and trying to have the ends meet. i can say now that? i'm happier than when i was married. however, the only thing bothers me is my mum and dad are not happy about me being divorced and feel ashamed to tell other relatives.

It's? not the expectation of the society. Men have been able to marry many women before and how come we made a law that men can't anymore? It's because it's against nature. Women can't feel loved or even healthy living in such an environment sharing one husband. History has proved that.

In HK, the economy or the nature? of it is harder to become successful, plus i think both genders should increase the self-esteem. I think the beauty comes from the heart, as we all get older, we wrinkle. The appearance or the financial ability will absolutely fade away! I guess we need to expect less from the sprouse, rather see what he/she is trying to give you. Make your sprouse like your best friend.

i like this video more than the first one. i get your points this time. I quite agree your point when you said that HK people should have their own expectations, not the 'society's' expectation. I think that both male and female in HK should take? a deep look into themselves, and face their flaws and improve. Flaws as in personalities, how they treat others etc.

I agree with you. However, since our society was shaped from a very fundamental concept of 'money' being the most important? symbol of a decent life. It gradually became complicated to separate achievement and material. Hence, 'money' has became the currency of power, success and achievement.

I agree with you very much that there lies a degree of expectation in today's society and that we don't HAVE to abide by these? expectations to live our lives. However, I must also say that it's definitely a struggle as we are only humans and born to adapt to changes (expectations in this case) whether intentionally or not intentionally. Don't you think sometimes the environment and our experiences mould us into someone we don't wish to become - even when we know ourselves well inside??
