I cried because I know how it is to be your hair. I'm tired of perpetuating the idea of what's beautiful. I've often dated outside my race, seeing some men appreciate the natural woman, and other's wanting fake nails and fake hair..etc. A real woman needs a real man who loves her for her (stretch marks, no? nails, natural beauty..etc). What really made me do this was when a white female I went to school with told me that the only reason she purchased a black doll for her daughter was because her daughter wanted them because they looked like they had a 'tan'. Back in the days we had little choice when it came to dolls and? the color of their skin. Today this is not the case. I'm not by any means a racist person, but they do not buy african american dolls for their children so why would I intentionlly buy white dolls for mine.

I did the same study with my daughter and she chose the black doll. The reason being is because from birth I didn't purchase white dolls nor did I accept them as? gifts from others for her to play with. I taught her early that we are beautiful people. To love her & other's beauty as well. After I knew this was instilled into her I occasionally purchased other nationalities (as of dolls) occassionally...

that's tripped out because your hair was long anyway. it's so disheartening to see so many of our females regardless of age, wear weaves to the extent they do. i don't even know what some ppl's hair looks like because the weave is truly a part of their lives; they don't even wear their own hair out. permed or natural doesn't even matter. i especially hate to see what? i call the "too much" weaves. i prefer a more natural look, versus ppl lookin' like they're wig mannequins. You know, so many are intrigued by, and actually like our hair.? However, it is seen as odd because most of us don't diplay it proudly. I haven't useed a wig since June, and get complimented and treated with class everyday (at work and elsewhere). Especially, this Indian girl never ceases to compliment on how she loves the coils. Wear your hair and enjoy: dear. Besides, YOU LOOK GOOD with it :)) Congrats on the natural birth of your child, and enjoy the natural hair journey.

As a person that does energy healing, I understand how interacting with plants with deliberate intention can change the outcome of that interaction. These videos inspired me to seek out wildcrafted herbs and plants from my environment here in SoCal, the first of which was sage. Wild white sage is an amazing plant - pychoactive for sure? and very healing. To get to know it I've made tea, used handmade sage soap, and have a wild bouquet with a lot of sage. What a great interview! My library actually has a lot of Stephen's books and there are always several hold requests on them, evidence that lots of people are turning to this. I checked out the Lost Language of Plants last summer and am reading the fasting book now. It's powerful to? attach a face and voice to the books.

More Detail into what i do to maintain my hair. Basically moisturize and seal daily, wash once a week, low manipulation, minimum heat! Still a product junkie!!! Enjoy! I use jojoba oil, castor oil, coconut oil and hot six oil and my sealants. Scurl, wave nouveau, neutrogena triple moisture, herbal essence long term relationship, IC leave in moisturizer are my fav moisturizers.

I ran across some of your videos the other day jus looking for tips to getting my hair growing again. My hair is really thick and was cut in a bob as well. It is slowly but surely growing back. I thought that shampoo leaving your hair feeling squeaky clean was a good thing. After all, isn't that the purpose of shampoo, to completely CLEANSE your hair? that's easy u do the same way u would do if u was shampooing it. I would recommend to wet ur hair with water and conidition, the same way u would if u was using shampoo. and comb thru with a wide tooth comb and wait 5 min. or whatever instructions on ur bottle. i? hope this helps..

i shampooed with br. bronners magic soap and use herbal essence hello hydration condtioner and rinsed out. use eco styler gel to retwist roots. twisted in the direction of the two strand twist i perviously had. did not sit under dryer i had them air dry

I think I bought the protein cream at $25.00. There are many different type of heat protectant avalible in watsons and SASA. I am not able to tell you which one works as I do not? use heat protectant. I use leave-in conditioner instead when i iron my hair. It works well for me even in this humid weather. :)

Hey splinta24! Today I henna-ed my hair with the godrej nupur and I loved, loved, loved it. When hubbie went to work this morning at 4:00 am I stayed up to henna. I added indigo to it, but it appears to still have given me a red tone. Anyway thats okay. I do believe it loosen my curl pattern a lot. The shine is amazing. When I brought the henna I got 2 bags, so I am glad i did that. I had some left over, so I was thinkin about a henna gloss in about 2 week. lol? great video

Maybe you could try your local Indian market though before ordering on Ebay. BTW it's a shame with the Lush henna, and it is quite pricey I might add. Lemme know if you get it. I was talking the other day to another uk natural who uses henna to dye her hair and apparently? the brand I use (lush premixed) is not strong enough for my hair type to dye it. Ooo yes always use shampoo to rinse out henna! glad you've found a good shampoo and i must try and pick up some of that henna. Yes for sure. But during the actual video you seemed to noticed the exposure without stopping the video. Do you have a mirror there so you can see yourself or how do you set up? I film myself but it's one way. I can't see myself. Was thinking maybe that's why many? use the bathroom because of the mirror.

I know being on you tube and telling people is a matter of personal choice, sometimes my subscribers know more of what's going on with me than they do lol! I love that comb! I just had someone give me this same henna powder blend to do their hair for them. I agree with you, no need to get everyone up in the business when you are doing something for yourself and own pleasure. People can ask too many questions or make judgements. If you want jet black hair, then you could use indigo after the henna. Or they say that cassia has the same properties as henna but doesn't? change your hair color. You could try that if you want your hair color to stay the same.
