Focus more on using perfect form and the exaggerated range of motion just like I covered here in this video. You can increase the weight gradually (i.e. shoot for 5 pounds gains per week). But make sure your form? and range of motion doesn't suffer. As for feet positions, just keep your feet straight, that will work the best, that's all I do personally.

@leemhayward When I'm doing standing calf raises, should I add more weight each time I do them? Because everytime I'm doing standing calf raises, they're always really sore the day after. However, if I repeat exactly what I did a couple days latter (same reps and weight), I will not feel any soreness. Also, what? should I do when I've run out of weight at home? Add more reps? hey lee, ive got really skinny legs, more towards the calve. now i read some of the messeges and u said that calves recover quickly and that you should do them 2-3 times per week, now when i work my calves their sore for? a whole week sometimes for even longer. What i ussually do is put a back pack on with 50 pounds and do calve raises on my stair case that way i can get a nice strecth, and i ussually do 6 sets for 15 reps. why is it taking them so long to recover?

It's quite common to experience shaking,? especially when you are not used to doing a particular move. What I suggest you do is just pace yourself. Do a few sets but don't push yourself to the point of shaking. Then each workout strive to do a little more and beat what you did for your previous workout.

What I'd suggest you do is try doing a very light calve workout. Just do 2-3 sets for calves and stop. Then see how you feel the next day. You may just need to start off easy and build up your work capacity? gradually over time.

Accusing them of using steroids isn't always a bad thing for them. If they know deep down that their natural, it should be a compliment. If you work out few years consistently, you? still won't look like that by the way. A lot of bodybuilding is genetic. I'd say after 5-8 years of working out hard, and staying on a legit nutrition plan, someone will hit their genetic limit, but may not look like Riches does here. Sorry thats the truth.

Obviously these guys like Rob? Riches and Greg Plitt also have extremely good genetics that give them that extra edge on mere mortals like us. My physique is nowhere near as nice as these guys but it's not shabby compared to your average gym goer. I would be LIVID if someone accused me of using steroids because I work my ass off for what I have. It just sucks to know that people look at you thinking, "He must be on roids."

I think that is a little black and white view. Of course there are a lot of idiots who don't have the discipline, and falsely accuse some people of steroid abuse. because going all the way down to your shoulder is gonna snap your? rotatory cuff in half. yeah if you're going light go ahead. try doing it going heavy. your shoulder isn't gonna be hurting the next day cause its sore. that's why most workouts are suggested to not go past the 90 degree angle as far as arms go because it adds unnecessary stress on your rotatory cuff and when that gets damage - oh boy..

I have the same problem now. The problem was that i wasnt hitting my rear and medial deltoids out at ALL. The thing is the deltoid it isnt one muscle, its? divided into three parts. Anterior, medial, and posterior deltoids, so its important to hit each of those as much and as hard as the others.

Granted I am a utter novice compared to you but have been working out for a year and the most i can do calves are once a week. The DOMS carries on for about 4 days.
