Smoothboard has a right click feature. It takes an extra few seconds, but it works. What you do is hold your IR pen in one place, and hold the IR light ON. After a few seconds, your right click menu will pop up. I found this feature actaully confusing to new users so I? usually turn it off. It would be possible to put a radio into an IR pen, and add a 2nd button, but this would require FCC approval, so it would take lot more time, and expense.

Yes, but you'd need to? write your own functions to handle the input at that point, and calibrating a system like that isn't difficult, but it's non-trivial. stereoscopic computer vision tasks are covered in the OpenCV book, you should be able to find a free pdf of it if you google a bit, as it's something of a standard when it comes to Computer Vision books.
