Everyone saying that you miss "real good music" need to open your eyes a bit. The only thing youre mentioning is the stuff that's being played on pop radio stations. Of course that's? gonna suck. Pop sucked in the 90's too. There's still tons of talented musicians making great stuff. You just gotta find it. Pearl jam is good, but they're by no means "the peak of musical evolution"

Death metal is just as metal as the classics. You don't have to listen to it, just bear it. I also agree with you on the metal stereotype. A lot of people are from the older metal scene where Death metal was new and wasn't interesting to most people.
