Well, despite that lame disco crap, the 70's had some good rock too. The 70's was also the decade of prog-rock. Not everything 80's was good especially the synth pop aspect of new wave (Howard Jones, Thomas Dolby, Dead Or Alive, ABC, Spandau Ballet, A-Ha, etc.) The AOR sector of (new wave) was way better (Duran Duran, Blondie, Men At Work, Tears For Fears, Motels, Missing Persons, Quarterflash, The Fixx, Big Country, Mr. Mister, etc.) Squeeze was in? between the 2 sides.

I'm just saying that for the purpose of viewer enjoyment, especially when the viewer IS a trained dancer, balance out this type of movement with some more technical aspects. I would say the same thing (but opposite) if I saw a dance that was full of tricks but had no soul. I'm just sick of dancers thinking that they're gunna change the world. We all get an indescribable feeling when we dance but in the end its just for entertainment

I can safely say I have seen countless dancers perform on showstopper, hall of fame, SYTYCD, and the like via youtube and yes, they can hold their leg at a full 180 degrees for days if they? chose. but so what? 500 pirouettes and 1000 high kicks could never communicate the human condition that these dancers (as will all of erica's work) have shown by a mere fleeting flick of a finger or a subtle sad nod.
