I shoot with guys and, believe it or not, I often have them start with all the "girly" poses (without telling them that, of course... god forbid they should not be 100% manly) and let them adjust from there in their own personal way. I either have them relax and let their weight (arms, shoulders, chest, or whatever is tensed and lifted) settle into a natural and? relaxed position, or pose them in whatever I feel looks good on them. There's also a lot of trial and error.

I gave it up and went and bought New version of poser. I really can't see the benefit of windows popping in and out of shape every time you click one? of those stupid tabs up there. they could have added all of the extras without messing with the user interface at all . and if so they could have given options to those that didn't want to have it changed drastically since we were loyal users.

Your poses are so awesome. I must honestly? admit that everytime I watch your videos & see your pictures on MySpace, you give me inspiration to keep going & to help me follow my dreams. I've always wondered what it will be like to train under a famous bodybuilder like yourself. I'd be turning red (in terms of being happy), & @ the same time, be very excited. thanks for the info, funny you mention static contractions. i started doing those on leg press and bench press but I've gotten some funny looks in the gym lol? but they really do work. other than that i really only do drop sets, I'll experiment with some more variations and see what works for me.

thanks for the comment. every individual is different, so that makes it a hard question to answer. but one thing is for sure, if you only apply one style of training, you results will be limited. speed, explosive, static contraction, essentric neg, lock outs, stability, power, timed or tempo sets.? i apply all these and more depending on the phase of training i am in. heavy presses help, but i do alot more than just heavy weights to shape my chest and body.

Tacey, I am sorry your photographer didn't do what you were looking for. I assure you my studio doesn't have this issue. Also I think if you were to look at my broader array of work, you would see that I have broadened my horizons. This is a small sample of what we actually do on a wedding. I have to say, our wedding photographer did these same poses for us and they looked very unnatural. The posing was so precise and rigid that? it allowed for no chemistry and made us look like manikins not two people in love. I appreciate people trying to be helpful with videos, so no disrespect Doug, but I think you should broaden your horizons with posing to things that show more genuine emotion.
