Hi Todd! You need to check out my You Tube page and my website. The shake? mix I use has 12 grams of protein when mixed with water, 7 grams of carbs and only 1 gram of sugar. I don't think the number of sources really matter when it comes to carbs. It's more important to consider the amount and the type. By type I mean either simple or complex. You should be eating about the same amount of complex carbs as protein. Complex carbs are things like grain, cereal, oats, potatoes. Simple carbs are basically sugar and come from things like fruit,? candy, etc. How tall are you? 140 pounds sounds totally healthy to me. what are your workout goals?

An answer to your question, it depends on your goals. For me, I'm trying to get big so more calories is always better. By the looks of your dinner I am going to guess that you are trying to loose weight. In this case you should already have some of budget for your daily calories. So make some room in your budget in order to allow? for casein. Perhaps try cutting out some simple carbs like fruit. Simple carbs are great for post workout and breakfast to increase your blood sugar but not much else.

The point of cassien is that it is a slow digesting protein. It will provide you with? the protein to repair muscle during the time of day it does the most of it. If you think about it, you eat about every three hours, and when you sleep your body is without fuel for 8. I am running out of charecters so I am going to split this into two comments.
