What does Redford expect us to do? This country has known for years that it's almost completely dependent on Middle East oil and something has to change. I would love to be dependent? on a different energy source, BUT the oil companies, in cooperation with the auto industry and a greedy, foolish government, has too much to lose. The only alternative is to drill offshore and bring oil down from Alaska and Canada. It MUST be done, or our economy is going to implode. Redford's stupid.

I agree. I first became a big fan of his because of his looks and how his performances made me feel, but when he started speaking out about and acting on environmental issues and even politics, I didn't want to care, but he persisted over the years and stayed consistent? in his beliefs, which made me stop to listen and start to care.
