You mention MW allows the player to enter a real life survival situation, and yes it does make you feel? like you are actually in the game at certain times, however you shouldn't use compare Cod to Borderlands. Since you seem to forget that Borderlands is a completly different style of game, it may be a shooter, but it is also an RPG, and the best RPGs involve leveling in certain skills and a variety of items and weapons. Borderlands does this near perfect.

The fact is being weaponless is the main contribution to the immersion, aside from that this is in 1839 were firearms were still young, the castle is secluded and has been out of touch with technology for centuries. The gatherers(monsters) are mutilated beings and i doubt a bullet would stop them, nor any melee weapon aside from perhaps a sword. The issue remains though that their? sole purpose is killing you so even if you hacked an arm off, they would probably still kill you.

This game seems very entertaining and I've heard good things about it from friends. However I see a problem with there being no combat capabilities at all. I understand that helplessness is an aspect that adds to the intensity and horror of the game, but with running and hiding being the only ways to deal with enemies, a little more variety would help. I'm not saying there should be guns/ammo everywhere, but perhaps? rare, limited use melee weapons or something would help vary the gameplay a bit.

I own both games, and loved both, actually. I am just a little disappointed that, thinking back on both games, I can't even distinguish which worlds were? in which game, as the games were just so similar. I really tried to like the second one, it just fell short IN MY OPINION. Its not like I'm just all out bashing the game, as I did enjoy playing both. I just don't believe that the game should have gotten a perfect score, as it wasn't perfect. Plus they dumbed down the level select.

Eh, the controls were something I'd expect from a third party? Wii launch title. Not a Zelda game. Sure, it was cool having to hit enemies from certain directions the first few times but literally every enemy blocks your attacks in some way and it gets old by the second dungeon. Plus there's absolutely no excuse for the Sky. It's as if they were thinking that if they made it look big and massive despite having nothing to do, people would fall for it.

lolwut 9.5? Comparing this game to the past two, this installment was an extreme let down. With it being 12 years in development there? is no reason it should have server issues, no pvp at launch, and no RMAH at launch. Blizzard half asses this one and you can feel it as it plays, Bad voice acting, WoW graphics, and millions of combat and UI bugs makes this game lose all replay value. If i had to give this game a ratting it would be 4-5/ out of 10

I have a very important question.. I'm about 80% to Platinum this game but I need to know if I switch the difficulty to Hard as soon as he's in the crater after the explosion but I pause the game after getting to the city and free roam and checked the difficulty again, change it for a sec while I'm still paused and then I quickly? change it from normal to hard again is that considered changing the difficulty? It IS short. This game doesn't take more than 3-4 hours. That is not considered long for today's standart. Also it's not a DLC. DLC is content for an already exsisting game. One gets fully shown, but it's still just a silhouette and not that scary looking at all. Skyrim was worse if anything. I also? remember that the spiders don't ovestay their welcome, there's only three, maybe four, and they disappear a fourth of the way through the game.
