I'm a little disappointed by the comments I'm seeing? here. Now I do agree, companies like pfizer are corrupt, and it's quite disgusting. But pharmaceutical companies that make drugs like zoloft, lexapro, prozac, etc. Aren't corrupt. Medications are made and tested, and then the drug companies and fda (drug companies meaning pfizer and others) sell the drug at a high mark up. The pharmaceutical companies themselves aren't bad, it's pfizer and the FDA.

Thanks for posting this but there are some misconceptions here. Both? pharmaceutical drugs and herbal remedies contain chemicals. Everything is made up of chemicals. The difference is herbal remedies are natural balanced substances. It may take up to 3 weeks for a herbal remedy to work so give it time. The price of £15 is a lot but sometimes price depends on the quality/source of the product. St.Johns wort (Hypericum perforatum) is a common plant related to a garden shrub with yellow flowers.

You are right about it possibly not having any reaction when counteracting depression. I have never really been on it for long periods of time because I have usually quit taking it before the month's end. Some of the posters here could possibly be correct in their assumption that it could take up to or? more than three months to build in your bloodstream. I think if it were really potent and have various side effects, the government would regulate it, being 100% natural and non-synthetic.

In finland we got st john's wort under the name of Hyperiforce Nova, I dont know if it is sold on other countries. This product contains 60tabs I think one tab contains 40-73mg each,? it has been advised to consume those 1 at the time 3 tabs per a day. But all I can say that this is working for me though, I can get much more stuff done (cleaning and fixing my car) etc.. My experiences after taking Perika St Johns Wort and Nature Made Sam-e Complete 2/26/12 edit: Last week I realized that besides the sensitivity to sunlight, I think it also affects my libido. Definitely not as much prescribed antidepressants, but enough for me to realize it as a side effect.

My doctor kept prescribing these different anti-depressants to me, when finally I did some research and found there's really only three types. I had tried 5 different medications and none of them worked. Well considering the fact that St. Johns wort has been confirmed to be significantly more effective than placebo and as effective as many conventional SSRI antidepressants in like 30+ clinical trials (indeed, SJW is likely an SSRI in its own right), I wouldn't think of it as a placebo. yea it took about 2 weeks though to even out again. and im pretty sure it usually takes 2 weeks for antidepressants it to to? work completely and 2 weeks for them to leave your system. thats why you have to be careful to wait if you switch medications.

For some people the oil may protect them, but I find for myself at least it? never has. Then again I am very pale with freckles so nothing much short of a thick layer of mud protects me from the sun. LOL I agree with being in the sun to help with depression, especially modern day people who sometimes only are exposed to the sun for the few moments they walk from their car into a store. Great video! If you use the st.John wort? oil while taking st.John wort tincture it will protect you from the sun. Ayurveda commends walking in the sun to help depression, I would think you would get better results not wearing sun screen so ur body can receive the benefits from the sun.
