you said a vegan diet was stupid. obviously, if the most nutrient dense foods are plants, then a vegan diet is not stupid. it simply isn't your preference. scott jurek, one of the most successful ultramarathoners (people who run 100+ miles for a race), says he didn't get his wins until he went vegan. i think you're overreacting. veganism is not bad for you. i'd like to see proof of how bad a vegan diet is for someone. i'm not talking about a? raw diet btw.

Did I say that eating vegetables or fruits was bad?? No I didnt... And I think a raw diet is great for some people and works. But people who are eating a typical diet without incorporating any meat is not wise. Small amounts of lean meats in every meal is important.?

i read omnivore's dilemma too. that pollan guy has people thinking grassfed meat truly competes with veg. for nutrients. look, comparing grassfed to grain fed is setting the bar low? for judging the nutrient content of food. the most nutrient dense foods are vegetables like kale, spinach and broccoli. if someone wants to eat meat, fine. but argue nutritional facts. otherwise, you're only revealing a cultural disposition you may have toward consuming a lot of meat in relationship to veg.

grassfed meat does have more nutrients than grain meat. just because it is better than grain fed meat does not mean it beats kale on most nutrient scales. grass fed meat does not have more omega 3 or 6 than many veg sources - flaxseed and walnuts beat grass fed meat for these. kale beats it for K. the largest A source is in veg. the sun is good for D.? b12? animals and animal products are rich sources. nutrient you listed that is not readily avail for vegans.

Meat from animals? fed up on their natural food chosen by themselves are very rich on nutrients. The low nutrient meat you talk about is fat lazy farm animals fed up on grain. And please don't use retorics like "please don't dispute this. it would be retarded to do so." There are many vegans which doesn't get the fat there brain need to funktion proporbly. But yes by eating enough nuts and beans and other fat sources, they can do without meat. But we are omnivorous.

If the claims presented here are true, they certainly should be placed into the domain of public conversation; but, with all due respect, I didn't catch a single? reference to science as promised in the title. It's not hard to imagine that gigantic for-profit corporations might take advantage of human tendencies toward addiction, but I'd be more convinced it was happening if studies were cited that observed such addictive mechanisms at work in the consumption of fast food.

So you can get vitamin D, vit K, B12, vit A (retinol), EPA and DHA from veg??...i think not. Look at the nutrient content of liver and other organ meats compared to any amount of veg you could eat. Kale and broccoli are great but good luck trying to get enough fat soluble? vitamins in your diet just eating veg. Our bodies need animal products.

I think everyone has missed the point. The evidence is correlative not directly diet soda causes weight gain. Although this is what human is trying to suggest. Correlation does not indicate causation. Let's look at the science empirically. Focus? on the other possible aspects of aspartame hyman which may have some negative effects.

People drinking diet soda are not consuming 0 calorie diets in total and it is the the toxicity and imbalance of their diet that causes weight gain. This is such a load of crap, if your eating a healthy diet and use a diet drink as a substitute it helps with weight loss as a slight sugary? taste fix, its 1 or 2 calories cannot affect weight gain unless after the drink u then eat high calorie goods. Also any1 who decreases calories descreases there metabolism wether or not your drinking diet drinks or not. So the whole study is flawed

This is my number one? 'food ingredient' enemy--Thank you for the great video! High Fructose Corn Syrup messes with our most important hormones related to food, digestion and metabolism and as Dr. Mark points out, can wreak major havoc on our gut and liver, even leading to things like irritable bowel syndrome. Really be a food label detective because this stuff is in everything from ice cream to low fat cookies, to bread that seems 'healthy' so don't be fooled!

Trust me, the food industry stuffs corn syrup in MANY, many processed foods. It's extremely cheap and sweet, which? is why it's stuffed in tons of processed foods. If there's a package around a food, the chance there is HFCS in it is a lot higher.
