Um that is not true. I dont suggest a juicing diet is viable for the long term but it IS fantastic at getting you to eat healthy because you lose all your addictions to junk food, etc. It's day 100 since I started and on Day 57 I finished my juice fast and went to a vegan? lifestyle and am much healtier and happy. As for health giving your body all the nutrients, minerals, vitamins and proteins in fruits and vegetables is VERY healthy!

Well there is no one way to do it, but essentially yes? it means no food. You could just replace one meal a day for example if you did not want to go hardcore. I decided to go into it fully as I had a lot of weight to lose!

Cool ! It's great that you're conscious about your health and did not go back to your old unhealthy eating habits. Some people just get detox after juice fasting and start intoxicating their bodies again, ruining everything they had realised with the fast. Congrats to you ! Did you consider to go vegan ? I'd recommend you read about it, and benefit from it. Please tell me, during the? fast - you had 3 juices - what quantities ? Like 500 ml each ? Did you work during that time ? Thanks !

I did my first juice feast last September - used your videos for a lot of motivation. I did a successful 10 days and felt great. I was really proud of myself for doing it because I have an eating disorder. I am a compulsive eater. I don't call it a food addiction, because it really isn't about the food. I eat my emotions. Since then I've had 2 false starts. I'm trying not to beat myself up about it, but I keep wondering? how I could do it once and a second time is so much harder?

I? just hope Child Protective doesn't come after me for sending him to School with juice. He is 12 and has been Diagnosed with Fatty Liver. Why he has it is a mystery. What? helped us with cost is buying from a wholesale store like Costco and B.J.'s. Really load up on the cheaper produce like big bags of carrots, apples and spinach. Add other produce to this but use the cheaper ones as your base. Good luck!

You don't have to go organic, so that will save you $. You can water down your juices, that will fill you up more & save $. When my husband did this, we had part organic and part not, and it cost us about? $10/day. He was drinking about a gallon a day, & I really added a lot. You can do this for about $7-$8 if you do it right. You can do this on 2 or 3 quarts per day. Use more of the cheaper veggies, but don't eliminate the greens. Health benefits start the first week! He lost 55 lbs in 60 days.

I'm 36 days into my second juice/smoothie feast (I started my first after watching your videos starting on day 40 or there abouts). This go-around I've noticed some days I don't even wake up hungry, and often I don't juice? until noon. I'm trying to avoid missing mornings, but sometimes? Have you looked at the 80/10/10 diet by Dr. Doug Graham? It is a healthy vegan diet. I did a 63 day juice fast last year and transitioned to 80/10/10 after. It went well. Yes I feel this is a good solution. But even if you had 2 juices per day and a junk food meal for the? third (no I am not doing that) it would still be a great way to start. "Perfect" is not necessary. Even small changes (1 juice per day) will be a huge benefit to your body in the longer term.

Hi there , I think this is the healthy way to go - eating once a day. I personally tried apple fasting last year- 3 days! Hi Tim, since I am a sugar addict like you,? I like to treat myself once a week, or on the weekend. I juice a fresh pineapple and use the water of two fresh, young coconuts and mix it all together. Yum, it's better than chocolate and you still stick to the fast. Try it, it is a real sort of pinacolada treat!! Keep up your great work and videos!! Cheers!

You seem a bit paranoid about eating. I juice for dinner only, still have a regular flat white coffee each day, a salad roll for lunch & oats for breaky. I have also cut out rubbish? snacks like chips & just a few almonds keeps the hunger at bay.Weight loss is gradual but it's still dropping. About 11 pounds now in a month & a half. I think doing it like this, you're less likely to gain it all back in a hurry & it also becomes a more manageable lifestyle.

I actually had a cup of tea last night with stevia, and I could not believe how sweet it was with my "normal" dose of stevia as a sweetener - ended up tipping out the cut half full. But yes it tastes so? much better than artificial sweeteners or sugar in my opinion.

I have experience in both methods - last time I did a 56 day juice fast with no exceptions, only juice and water, literally I did not chew anything for 56 days. This time I am looking to be less "perfect". Even one juice a day is going to be a dramatic improvement I feel in my quality of life. I am still "with the program". I have lost 1.5Kg (3.3 pounds) since my last weigh in, bringing my total weight loss so far to 2.9Kg (6.4 pounds).

Thanks Tim, I appreciate your time to write back. I seem to lose more this time than last year. A pound average per day!! I feel great, even though my friends give me pityful looks sometime. There is no real way to figure out how long as everyone loses weight at different rates. For example in my original 56 day juice? fast I lost 50 lbs in 56 days. You are doing well. Don't be too hard on yourself. If you had some nuts and soup it's ok. Consider my method of 2 juices per day maybe, or just keep juicing and then if you occasionally go off for a bit just don't worry about it and continue the fast. Good luck !

Yes that is the thing isn't it. Working on the addiction is where your focus needs to be. Consider grabbing the Jason Vale "Slim for life" book for starters - I am about 1/3 through it and it's amazing. Tim I am glad that you mentioned food addction. I am already scared to death to fall back into old habits,? when I come off the juice fast. Juicing is easy, as you just drink juice. But introducing food back into your diet is a scary thought. How can one make sure to stay healthy and not give into temptations?? To me that is the scariest part of it all!

Hi Chupria...I think I will answer this one for Tim, since I have been juicing ofr some time now myself. First of all, try to make mostly Vegetable juices with about 20% fruit mixed in with them. ? Apples and carrots will sweeten them up for you. Also, drink as much as you feel like drinking, but minimum 3 - 4 Litres/day. Good luck with it.

Hi, this is Tim with my day 2 video of my juice feast restart. Yes I am feeling worse at the moment than when I started, but in the video I explain why this is the case. I lost 1.4Kgs or around 3 pounds though so that is a FANTASTIC START!
Hang in there if your on a juice fast, it does get better!

Hi there, I juice anything up to 800 ml (27 oz) in a single "meal" - And I have 3 juices per day. but sometimes less sometimes more. I find I am? often fulll to the evening where it's a little harder to work through. Peeing is something you will do a lot of - I certainly am lol. Sounds like you need to drink more juice - it's ok to do this - particularly early - These is very few calories in there so I expect you will still lose weight! Good luck !!

What I find hard is when we cook something for the family and much of it ends up as leftovers, and after a day or so when it's not eaten or frozen it goes to waste. No this is called "Smart Water" and? I purchase it at the grocery store. It contains magnesium, calcium and potassium. It really helps keep you on the fast because it gives you those minerals and you just feel better. One thing that is dangerous on a water fast is to get too low on potassium. Not good for the heart.

great work. And man can I relate to what you are saying. It's 4.30pm here in Australia and I am wanting to snack big time. Doesn't help feeling crappy either. Its the same when I am not on a juice fast. I generally eat properly until mid/late afternoon or evening? then all hell breaks loose ha ha. I am still hanging in there. Don't be too hard on yourself, keep at it, you are still doing a ton of good to your body with making it through the day !!

Howdy, Take a look at the video I did two days ago to find out why. Basically I gained a lot of weight and went off track, so back into it to sort myself out. so far so good!! Although feeling crappy and like I want to eat "badly" right now. Hoping the feeling passes! Thanos for dropping by. Oh I finished the juice fast many months ago, but was eating sort of? ok until Christmas and have been largely "off the rails" since then, hence all the weight gain!

That's great you're committed to your health! I came off my juice fast by eating fruit the first day and continuing to juice and then just more fruit, juice and small salads for a while. When I was on my fast and my stomach was? growling I drank warm lemon water with a little less than an 1/8 of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper, its stopped my hunger pangs within minutes. Fantastic that is a nice? amount of weight loss right there, I am sure by now you have lost more. I would not recommend adding protein to your fast because vegetables have a ton of protein - Just be sure to juice green vegetables as well and you should be fine!

Wii Fit Plus is a great game, it is better than the original game called wii fit. There is a good mixture of yoga, action, muscle/coordination, etc type games and mostly it's fun. So I recommend that game. I do suggest you get the wii fit board (which that game needs)... Good value. there are other fitness games but this is the one I am more experienced? with.

Also, I would like to point out that a raw food diet would be detrimental for someone over the age of 50, as a lot of gas is produced from raw foods which is very harmful for someone over 50. Contrary to popular belief, certain raw foods are more difficult to digest than cooked foods. I was looking for answers in order to? be truly healthy and now I've found them. Good vid! I think a good way to see it is to ask if it's really delicious to you in it's raw state. For ex; raw ripe? mango is beautiful. Raw cabbage though? Ack! High raw with some steamed veggies etc is great healthwise. If you wanna go 100% it's definitely healthy and doable in the long term but you'd wanna do a more 80/10/10 style of eating to make sure you get enough calories. Dates are awesome btw, I eat 20 or 30 a day regularly. Fruit sugar and refined sugar are whole different beasts!

What you are saying is not strictly true for all foods. I agree some and probably most raw foods are better raw but there are some foods that only have important enzymes released IF they are cooked. Note that I am not against raw food, I am just saying 100% raw food is not in my opinion the way forward and they a balance is most likely? the better approach - I will do a video about this in the future. I sincerely believe it isn't right for me. ? I am not putting down anyone else, just stating my opinion. I have researched this extensively. I have found people have very strong opinions here so I do not want to step on anyone toes. If it works for you great. Hi Tim. I don't know if you have a moral issue with eating meat, but it you didn't there is a type of food that moves quickly through the digestive system like veg does. Though it is meddled with like any other food in the name of greed, supplementing a limited amount of fish could? be of benefit to you. BTW i don't mean things like shellfish or catfish. Thanks for this research. I have to say you opened my eyes to "question" the 100% raw approach and I did find some startling info which I will share in my video tomorrow. After reading what you wrote and researching I tend to agree that 100% raw? is not the optimal way to proceed. A large component raw is certainly beneficial though but I think we both agree there :)

Tim, brussel sprouts are good....the key is to NOT over cook them. Keep them some what crisp when steaming them. Also, google recipe for Chiffonade of Brussel Sprouts (just omit the bacon)....it's YUM! Chopped sauteed sweet potato/yam? in olive oil, salt and pepper is really good too. Cheers!

Hey, I forgot to mention this when I did your survey, but you should add info in your ebook about scales that measure Body Fat Percentage. I don't recall you discussing it. I don't know if you tracked that info while doing your cleanse, but lowering fat percentage is WAY more important than just the lowering weight alone. Anyway, these scales are $40-$60 dollars. Mine tells my water percentage, muscle percentage, fat percentage, and bone-weight... as well as overall weight.? Pretty useful!

Thanks for dropping by! I gained about 2.4Kg (5 and 1/3 pounds) when I stopped the juice fast just over two weeks ago and when I weighed myself two days ago had lost 2.00 kgs of that. So I was only .4Kgs (under 1 pound) of weight increase after the fast. Now I am back from holidays I? am learning the cooking principles I need to enjoy a vegan lifestyle the weight loss will increase now I suspect. I am getting back to more regular videos. I have been watching your videos for the past few days whenever I find the time. Gearing up for my own juice fast to begin September 27th. Buying a juicer, weaning off caffeine, meat, dairy. Fast for some time now but kept putting it off. I am almost 27 years old, 5'3" and just under 200lbs. Heaviest I have ever been! I was active duty in the US Army from 2003 to 2008 and I have unfortunately let myself go since my fit days as a soldier. After fasting for 20 days and losing 20#, I know what works for me and what doesn't work. I had about 15 diet books and I donated all of them? to Good Will. I eat more veges and fruit now, much less beef. I do eat chicken, turkey and fish occasionally. I think we all have to find what works for us. We are all different and what works for me, may not work for everyone. I'll never buy another diet book, I do know that.

So you ate too much-well today is another day, and stick with the fruit. Enjoy your best or the fruits you love, and fill up on them, and then you may not be hungry, so a bite or two of cooked foods once in a while surely isn't great, but don't sweat it if you only have a bite or two, but get back on fruits, and eat as many as you want-you won't get fat!!! Check out durianrider on you tube-he explains it all. Mind ya you probably know that. :) take care and? keep up the good work!!

Love the view of Phuket. I hear you about the eating too much part. I have to stop when I start not really being interested? in what I'm eating. Once I lose interest, it's pretty easy to put that fork down. Fasting two day per week helps to remind me that this is a journey. It's seems to keep me on the right path. Pound for pound rice is generally more fattening in my experience. I take your point vegs have carbs in them as well :) To be fair though I have often wondered why people in china, and other rice eating? countries are more often than not thin and their diet has a major component of rice! My real point is I wanted my emphasis to be on the veg and not rice or starchy type veg like potatoes, etc. Thanks for dropping by !

I'm on a juice fast and noticed my skin is starting to sag a bit from weight loss. Your earlier videos showed your face a bit fuller (obviously), now your neck seems to have more loose skin like mine. Have you talked to your? Dr about that? I was told skin bounces back; I certainly hope so. Any info you might have would be great.

Yes Tim. Thats the little secret when you go raw/organic/vegan. You don't miss the other food at all. Your taste buds change and you start to crave the healthy food. I used to love sour cream and mayonaise...now it actually is too rich and taste really heavy, so I don't eat them at? all, b/c I don't like them anymore. So I like lighter salad dressings if any now. i am just starting to plan my juice fast...i just watched the movie fat sick and nearly deada few days ago..and i had been planning to do juicing ( i need to loose 50 lbs) but then got distracted by teh hcg diet...which honesly has not kept my weight off....can you please do a video specifically on how to do this fast? as in recipes..showing how to juice and? how much we should drink a day? thanks and great job on the weightloss!

ha ha, it's not a problem and this will be covered as well. Worse case for me was I think 3 days not going, but it was more or less daily or once every 2 days. I did nothing like a? flush, etc I could not see the point in doing that as when I needed to go I would go. Now I am off the fast i am going at least 2-3 times per day !!

yes your right it does not show a lot of the important stuff, thats? what I decided to do my videos (well part of the reason). I will be doing an ebook for sure includng menus, etc and taste discussions, etc. I agree it's important, particularly early to like what you are drinking, so will do that. And yes before-after as well so people really can see the difference....

another really good book and well worth reading is JASON VALES SLIM FOR LIFE freedom from the food trap,this is a uk book but you can get them on ebay,really is worth buying, covers juicing etc and explains why were caught in the food trap and why we eat the foods we know we shouldnt,and how to break away from those endless failed diets,definatly not just another diet book this one really is different, check it out see what you? think

I showed my brother your videos today and he joked that you probably started skinny, and gained weight over 56 days...then posted the videos in reverse order to make it LOOK like you were losing? weight! I called him a drongo (it pisses him off when he has to look words up). He said day 53 was his favorite, and that he would have parked his ass right next to the Dagwood Dog booth, and ate until he was fat and happy. He REALLY needs the e-book! lol

Tim hate to ask but can you tell us did you have any trouble in the bathroom department,I did 16 days and I think i went once in this time, I know its not an easy subject but its something you havent covered in your videos, and? important to know,some people recommend doing a salt water flush i tried this ...it didnt work tasted awful and i gained 2 pounds.....SO in brief can you just mention ..were you still regular !!!!!! thanks

just watched the fat sick and nearly dead dvd, but it doesnt contain recipies, highs and lows your videos are certainly more helpful, ok the dvd does get you thinking but YES DO AN EBOOK TIM, of the day by day menus includind different variations of the fruits and veggies that work best for weight loss and taste, as if you get this wrong it can certainly lead you off track ,also can you post a before and after picture on a future video that would be good to see, oh? and tell us clothes from--to

Thanks for swinging by! I used no nuts, seeds? during my 56 days juice fasting. I think you will find the taste gets better the longer you do it. In my experience I felt they were bland but this was because my taste buds were "out of whack" having been abused with processed food so long. I suggest hanging in there, it gets better. For exercise I walked only low/moderate workout most days.. Hope this helps.

Hello from Hawaii, I've been following your juice fast videos lately. Couple of questions: when juicing did you use nuts, seeds, etc. I tried 2 days and got so bored with the taste. How do you keep up with the taste?? Any sugestions to perk up vegetables juice taste?. Fruits are too sugary and vegetables are just bland. Would love to see what ingredients you used in your 56 days fast. Did you exercise during your fast? low/moderate/intense workout regimen or u just fasted with no exercise. Thx.?

Thanks for dropping by and I appreciate your support. It all turned out fine, I had no ill effects with nuts, they were not organic and? nor did I soak them. I am trying to find a good plan for organic food in Australia - We seem a bit backward here compared to other countries in this regard!

Hi I am thinking of buying a vitamix but right know I have a Sunbeam Model PB7650 (Australian version). Does a pretty good job overall I have? to say. Grinds away with some stuff but gets the job done! Not sure if it's the same model overseas as sometimes they have different model names over here. Hope this helps!
