i actually tried this once during allergy season for my nose. since a guy with short hair made this video, a quick safety tip for the? ladies (& maybe a few gentelmen) with long hair: TIE IT BACK before u use this remedy. if ur hair gets in the steam water & then touches ur skin 'cause u didn't tie it back, it can burn u bad. no one told me this before i tried it & i had to learn it the hard way, by getting burned. guess i didn't think that far. whoops. wear a ponytail or,better yet, a bun.

Just get some regular olive oil and some whole garlic put in a small pot , heat it up till oil smells like garlic and there's ur garlic oil..put few drops in ur hurt ear and get some cotton, drench it in onion juice put that in? ur ear and it should feel better..that's what I give my kids.u have to go to a Heath/whole food store to get garlic oil...Very expensive

this wont work for dogs...dogs ear environment is a bit different from human's. the? dog's ear environment might be more or less sensitive than the humans. you just pee into the infected ear of you dog. hope that helps..

If you have certain allergies make sure you're not allergic to? ginger root. Ginger root is spicy too if chewed. And again double check before taking it to prevent overdose and allergies. There are statements that excessive comsumption of ginger root can damage the stomach and may eventually lead to ulcers althought it is good for stomach aches. It is also good for head aches and for inflimmation, diabities, heart, and it is good for pain killers too.

This is what I did. Not telling ANYONE to do this themselves. I put peroxide in my ear and held it in with a cotton ball. Put new stuff in every 15-20 min. After about an hour and a half my tooth would? only hurt when the peroxide popped in my ear. I'm pain freee and my tooth that hurt is near the front of my mouth.

Oh and for people that can't find clove oil, get some ground cloves. You know the kind you use in baking and get about a teaspoon and just a little olive oil. Mix the two and there you go. Dip a cotton ball, or Q-tip and call it good night. It will burn a bit, as always but a that burn is a? mere pettiness compared to getting relief it gives. Believe me, being awake ALL night till 4:30 am...you learn a few things.

I tried a crap ton of things last night looking for relief. What worked? Using some vanilla extract? right on where it hurt, it burned like hell, but then it started to work. Also that sore throat spray that numbs an area works on a very very very temp basis. Garlic burned but it helped as well. All this helped soothe the pain until the painkiller could kick in. Oh, and mouthwash. STRONG mouthwash helped quite a bit as well. At least I don't feel like taking pliers and ripping my tooth out.

To get similar benefit from Plantain during the winter I make Plantain oil by filling a? jar with the leaves, then adding coconut and olive oil 50/50 mix and let it sit for several weeks or longer. Firstly, ALL EO's should be in glass bottles; if the? bottle containing an EO is plastic, you don't want that brand (they obviously don't care that EO's can & do dissolve most plastics.) Secondly, if the label says, "For external use only" or "Not for internal use", then that EO contains chemicals that are potentially harmful to the human body. There are plenty of oils that are not for use with children. Some oils have hormonal? properties, like sage, clary sage, rose geranium, these are not for use with children, whether they are organic therapeutic oils or not. There are others, but for brevity, if you are using oils with children, look for books by Shirley Price or Valerie Worwood.Young Living is good, but knowing precautions from other sources is very important, especially with children.

From my exerience: A drop or 2 of peppermint oil in the belly button helps calm lower digestive system gas pains and other disturbances. Also putting a drop or? 2 in a glass of water and drinking it helps with upper digestive tract gas, cramps and other disturbances.

The reason he said to keep the oils away from kids is because kids could break the glass and get cut, open the bottle and drink the oil (which would make them as sick as a dog), and some herbs can? be dangerous if given in to large a dose to a child.

i actually tried this once during allergy season for my nose. since a guy with short hair made this video, a quick safety tip for the ladies (& maybe a few gentelmen) with long hair: TIE IT BACK before u use this remedy. if ur hair gets in the steam water & then touches ur skin 'cause u didn't tie it back, it can burn u bad. no one told me this before i tried it & i had to learn it the hard way, by getting? burned. guess i didn't think that far. whoops. wear a ponytail or,better yet, a bun.

It destroys some of the plants constituents. You only boil roots and other touch plant? matter this is a decoction. Leaves and flowers are steeped in hot water for a long time this is an herbal infusion. Your standard market place tea bag is called a tisane and typically has little to no medicinal value.

I've? learned something new today: I'd strain herbal teas for few minutes at between 90 to 100c. I thought keeping them more than a few minutes made them always bitter (except for chamomile and peppermint). Also experiencing texture of herbs is an important part of theraputic process was an interesting insight. Thank you so much for the information.

You can do both. With fresh herbs, such as peppermint leaves, there is a lot more water within the capillaries of? the leaf, so you must have more mint and let it steep for a while longer. If they are dried, the water is already evaporated within the plant leaves and the oils are left so you will have a faster brew Dried herbs will also make it easier to store for longer periods of time without the growth of mold. Benefits will be the same if done properly with fresh and dried. CHEERS

This is some good and useful info, however the statement of "never boil your herbs within the water" is inaccurate. Herbs that have a hard cell wall such as roots, seeds, barks, etc., may have to be boiled as to break down the wall in a process called decoction in order for the volatile oils to actually reach? the water. Majority of the time, yes, an infusion is the best method to extract the benefits within the plant. Keep the vids coming.

i don't quite agree with the NEVER taking herbs in pill form. there are a very scant few that i? know of which can make ppl sick or be ineffective for certain conditions when not standardized. specifically, there are 3: ginko & feverfew can make u sick when not standardized, & milk thistle as a liver cleanser can be ineffective if not standardized (none of the herbs mentioned in the "herbal medicine chest" of this course require it, though). so it's not NEVER,on the whole, just almost never.
